Sarah had advised they were not really 'park' people, which gave us the space to find an alternative spot to shoot. We chose a spot down by the graffiti wall in St. Louis, and decided to meet the weekend after they found out the gender of their baby. It was exciting to find out they were having a girl!
Since we had never done a gender reveal session, Johna and I started talking about ideas of fun things we could do. We settled on balloons, after confirming that neither Sarah or Nichole had a phobia, and decided to do something a little playful, as you can see below.
The shots above were set up with one strobe, in a 22" white beauty dish, high and camera right. Then another strobe, bare, slightly behind the couple and camera left. Each were set at, I believe, 1/4 power. Next time, I would probably CTO the beauty dish strobe, to warm up the shots.
