Their wedding took place on New Year's Eve 2016, so it was a big party. Things were pretty laid back throughout the day, with everyone taking their time to get ready and relax. Everything was held at Old Hickory Golf Club in St. Peters, MO. It was a beautiful day, for being the end of December, which allowed us to capture some shots outside, as well. My sister and wife assisted me throughout the day. Kadie always gets detail shots for me, and runs lenses / strobes. My wife, Johna, has started to assist with shooting, photo booth coverage, and any running, as needed. I have an amazing team backing me up on shoots, these days. They're invaluable to my operations! :)
This was my first session using a new strobe: the Neewer VK750 II. This is an awesome option for shooters who are wanting to buy a great strobe at a reasonable price. It has a built in PC sync, built in Slave Mode, and can be used on camera (just be sure to buy the version for your camera type). I purchased mine on eBay, but you can find them via Amazon: here for Nikon* and here for Canon*. After shooting using this strobe for the day, I found I definitely need to gel it with a CTO gel in the future. Otherwise, the strobe worked amazingly throughout the day in all modes. Definitely worth the $50 price tag.
